I became acquainted with Karen and James some four years ago, first being introduced to them through their music ministry. From the very first I was impressed by this ministry which they have in music. God has gifted them in the area of musical ability, and the spiritual message comes through in the songs they have written and sing. It is my great pleasure to recommend Karen and James Johns and their ministry. Their ministry has an appeal to a broad spectrum of age groups from youth to older adults. On several occasions I have asked them to do some musical selections for classes which I have been teaching. I highly recommend their music ministry, as I have found it a blessing and encouragement whenever I hear them.
I was able to get to know them better as both Karen and James took classes from me while I was the professor of Old Testament studies at Canadian Theological Seminary. In getting to know them on a more personal level, I became more acquainted with their spiritual journeys which led them to Seminary and Bible College. Clearly God has led, and continues to guide in maturing them in Christ, using their past experiences to impact not only their own lives, but also using those experiences to shape and make more effective their ministry and songs as they deal with specific life issues and topics.
